Sugar Land, TX (PRWEB) April 24, 2007 -- JME Software (JME), a leading innovator of tools and applications that simplify the management of IT infrastructure across the enterprise, today announced the availability of DEADBOLT Monitor - a real-time security monitor that analyzes, alerts and reports access violations on a mainframe. DEADBOLT Monitor enhances existing IBM RACF®, CA ACF2® and CA Top Secret implementations to reduce security risks and support IT compliance audit and reporting requirements.

Advanced mainframe hardware is hobbled by aging legacy security software that is costly to maintain and difficult to administer. Worse, these legacy systems do not provide support for real-time notifications of security violations or provide the flexibility to meet modern day requirements for IT compliance monitoring and reporting.

With DEADOLT Monitor, a security administrator receives real-time notifications of logging and access violations that are categorized by compliance policy, such as Sarbanes-Oxley, HIPAA and FISMA. An intuitive, flexible ad hoc reporting capability facilitates the rapid development of custom reports to support a compliance audit or the whims of management. An integrated incident management system allows security personnel to create a permanent online record of violations and the action taken to remediate the problem.

"IT compliance is a daunting task, time consuming and expensive. Mainframes present a unique challenge to a compliance audit because the software was designed without compliance in mind", says Chrisan Herrod, editor-in-chief of IT Compliance Magazine. "Tools like DEADBOLT Monitor provide the evidence to support security policy/controls that will shorten audit cycle time and associated business risk."

While DEADBOLT Monitor silently mirrors the legacy access-control system (RACF, CA ACF2 or CA Top Secret), security personnel can monitor all permissions and violations and perform real-time ad hoc reporting.

JME Software will demonstrate DEADBOLT Monitor in stand e250 at InfoSecurity Europe in London, UK from April 24-26.

Pricing and Availability

DEADBOLT Monitor will be generally available on May 31, 2007. Licensing and pricing options can be obtained by contacting the company at (866) 403-2838.
