TestWiz 2007 is truly an Enterprise Class tool for clients of all sizes."

"After the successful launch of the product and customer feedback, we will be making TestWiz 2007 available for the world. These main modules of the software include Requirements Manager, Test Planner and Test Runner, and Defects Manager."
Pi Sigma's TestWiz 2007 is the industry's first web-enabled test management tool that combines the entire test management process in one powerful, scalable, and flexible solution. TestWiz's four modules --- Requirements Management, Test Planning, Test Runner, and Defect Manager --- are designed with the testing process flow in mind. The seamless integration between these modules enables smooth information flow among different stages of the testing process.
TestWiz is a multi-user Test Management Solution designed to allow teams of software developers and testers to manage and track all aspects of a software project. TestWiz streamlines the quality process --- from requirements management through test planning, test execution to defect tracking through a centrally shared database..
The Four Modules
Following are the four modules of the TestWiz
The process of developing testing requirements starts with reviewing all available documentation on the application under test, such as marketing and business requirements documents, system requirements specifications, and design documents. These documents are used to obtain a thorough understanding of the application under test and determine the testing scope --- test goals, objectives, and strategies. TestWiz's Requirements Manager links test cases to testing requirements, ensuring traceability throughout the testing process. TestWiz enables the user to easily see what percentage of the application functional requirements are covered by tests, how many of these tests have been run, and how many have passed or failed.
The test-plan tree in TestWiz is a graphical representation of the organization's test plan. It is a hierarchical list of tests organized according to topic and it describes the set of tests that must be implemented to meet the quality requirements defined in the previous steps. With TestWiz, testers can also associate a test with specific defects. This is useful, for example, when a new test is created specifically for a known defect. By creating an association, testers can determine whether the test should be run based on the status of the defect.
TestWiz's Test Runner helps the testing team manage the scheduling and running of many different types of tests. To help organize the tests that need to be run, TestWiz supports the concept of a "test set." A test set is a group of tests in a TestWiz project database that is designed to achieve specific testing goals. Test sets may include all tests that validate specific functionality (such as the login process) or that verify the application works on a particular version of the browser. In TestWiz, tests can be added to the test set directly from the planning tree by simply dragging and dropping. Testers also can create a filter inside the planning tree and export into a test set all tests that satisfy the specified criteria.
Analyzing defects is what essentially helps managers make the "go/no-go" decision about application deployment. Pi Sigma's TestWiz's Defect Manager supports the entire defect lifecycle --- from initial problem detection through fixing the defect and verifying the fix. This ensures that no defect is overlooked or closed before it has been addressed. Before any new defect is submitted, Test Manager checks the database for similar defects, minimizing duplicate defects, and eliminating the need for manual checking.
