VirtualAgility has appointed Michael H. Anderson to its Board of Advisors. Anderson was formerly President, CEO and Chairman of Hogan Systems, which was acquired by CSC. Anderson served as a division president for CSC prior to his retirement. He also served eight years as president of Nixdorf Computer North American operations, and as a Vice President for NEC.

Anderson began his technology career with IBM's data processing division. He rose through multiple field assignments to become Director of Strategy Integration, a role in which he sought creative ways to combine the efforts of IBM's divisions. Anderson's 16 years at IBM helped focus his life-long support for innovation in large enterprises.

"Mike Anderson specializes in finding ways to do things smarter," said VirtualAgility president Stuart Rudolph. "So does VirtualAgility. He's an ideal addition to the Board at a point when we're striving to introduce our radically different WorkCenter solution for data integration and sharing to large government organizations and the private sector."

As someone who has so often considered this kind of proposition from the customer's side, Anderson is impressed with VirtualAgility. "I've always been a champion of virtual systems, at IBM and elsewhere," he said. "What I particularly like about WorkCenter is that it allows users to upgrade planning, sharing and collaboration functions without having to 'rip and replace'.

"WorkCenter has the benefit of eight years' development behind it. It's more than just a game-changing concept; it's a fully developed solution, an effective answer to pressing data integration problems.

"But just as important," Anderson continued, "WorkCenter protects your investments in existing systems even as it helps everyone integrate and move forward. Users get a giant lift in performance and productivity without costing a lot. That's a critical advantage that isn't lost on management."

According to Rudolph, Anderson will advise VirtualAgility on issues ranging from product strategy to national and international business development. "He's done it before and always very, very successfully."
