The new newsletter is much easier to read
Blaine, WA (PRWEB) April 25, 2007
Internet Marketing expert Derek Gehl, CEO of The Internet Marketing Center (IMC), has revamped his free newsletter in a bid to raise the bar in the Internet Marketing industry.
In a groundbreaking blog post last week, Gehl took other Internet marketers to task for flooding their lists with promotions to the exclusion of valuable content.
"This 'jump on the bandwagon' mentality is ruining the online marketing industry," wrote Gehl. "The more emails you get sent by so-called 'experts' trying to sell you the exact same product, the more likely you are to start tuning them out."
To address this growing problem, Gehl promised to start communicating with his customers and subscribers in new ways. "From this point forward, I'm going to be sending you more free, valuable and truly actionable information -- with no strings attached."
As part of this ongoing effort, IMC surveyed their customers and subscribers to see what they found most useful in Gehl's long-standing Marketing Tips newsletter -- and what could be changed to better help them market their businesses online.
The survey generated over 3,300 comments and suggestions, which provided the base for the revamped newsletter. "I appreciate that, for a change, someone is listening to the audience," wrote one survey respondent.
The survey results can be viewed at http://blog.marketingtips.com.
Besides sporting a new name -- "The IMC Insider" -- Gehl's free newsletter features:
- A new look and layout to improve readability
- More quality content, packaged in shorter, easier to read articles
- Proven strategies from the IMC panel of experts
- An article rating system for ongoing feedback
- Strategies for both beginner and advanced online marketers
Early responses to the newsletter re-launch were enthusiastic.
"The new newsletter is much easier to read," wrote one subscriber. "It's also much easier to find the information I'm looking for."
Although the new layout makes the information more digestible, quality content and hard-hitting advice is its primary focus.
"The best part was the quality of information you are giving away to your subscribers," wrote another reader.
Gehl is dedicated to delivering real-world strategies that his subscribers can put to work for their businesses right away.
