New Booking Tools Launched to Fast Track Airport Arrival & Departure Service in Asia/Middle East

Two online booking tools, EXTRA (goEXTRA.com) and M&GNet (magnetASIA.com), which offer advance bookings of a range of personal services to help frequent fliers transit airports in Asia and the Middle East, have been launched. M&GNET, an airport meet and greet service, meets passengers at the aircraft door and speed them through the formalities of local customs and immigration, avoiding touts, queues and bottlenecks, and linking them to their personal driver or a waiting EXTRA limousine. The bookings can be automatically written into the traveller's air and hotel PNR's.

Two online booking tools, EXTRA (goEXTRA.com) and M&GNet (magnetASIA.com), which offer advance bookings of a range of personal services to help frequent fliers transit airports in Asia and the Middle East, have been launched. M&GNET, an airport meet and greet service, meets passengers at the aircraft door and speed them through the formalities of local customs and immigration, avoiding touts, queues and bottlenecks, and linking them to their personal driver or a waiting EXTRA limousine.

A network offshoot from the giant UK & US executive limousine operator Burgundy, EXTRA is a chauffeured limousines service that organizes and manages safe and stylish ground transportation to and from airports and around city centres for executive travellers. EXTRA links a network of four hundred (400) Chauffeur Drive affiliates around the world.

Corporations and Travel Agents have long desired to be able to use their air and hotel booking tools to obtain quotes and make bookings with regional ground service providers. EXTRA and M&GNet provide expense visibility, as the services utilize the GroundScope reservation, invoicing, billing and distribution platform. Bookings can be automatically written into the traveller's air and hotel PNR's, using the new GroundRez switch application. Bookings can be made online, or by phone, fax and email, or by travel agents or travel management companies through Sabre, Galileo, WorldSpan or Amadeus.

M&GNet is the brainchild of Charles Pollard, an industry veteran and ex P&O's Cruising and ThomsonTour group. The idea was born out of his flying three hundred times a year for five years meaning about one full day a year was spent in the immigration queue. Pollard established EXTRA and M&Net together with Derek Jewson, a well known executive in the airline industry, and Bernard Yap, an expert in the cab transport industry,.

EXTRA and M&Gnet are the first operators in Asia and the Middle East to attempt to consolidate this un-organised, un-integrated, undiversified mom-and-pop sector of the corporate travel business. Singapore alone boasts more than twenty small operators, none of whom have more than ten per cent market share. This pattern is mirrored around Asia. Extra and M&Net makes use of the fragmented industry as it exists, while simplifying the ability to make a booking, no matter where in the world the traveller is stationed.

The opportunity for growth is great, considering the orderly manner in which the rest of the travel industry (Airlines, Cruiseline, TMC's, Mass Transit and Taxis) conducts itself, and potential investors are expressing great interest in the equity opportunity given the group's first mover advantage.
