What really sets King Ping apart, however, is it doesn't just provide a service for bloggers. Aggregators and small search engines can also make their lives easier thanks to the new site. Here's why: most aggregators have to check blog updates listed on their indexes manually which is time consuming and usually causes them to miss fresh updates. With King Ping, aggregators can gain instant access to notifications about blog updates. This is the first time such a service has been offered. King Ping was originally owned and co-developed by Fredrick Giasson, a Canadian computer scientist. Recently, the site was acquire by Aggreg Ltd., a web holding company operating a half dozen other sites, including Strategicboard which is the first spam free blog search engine. As part of their acquisition, it has undergone a complete face lift and is now ready to re-launch.
