TheFunded.com Announces Top Five Venture Firms
In response to breaking 500 fund reviews by entrepreneurs.
San Jose, California (PRWEB) April 26, 2007 -- TheFunded.com, an exclusive online destination for entrepreneurs to rate and review funding sources, announces the top five venture capital firms worldwide in celebration of breaking 500 reviews.
Each of the top five funds was carefully selected based on feedback from 422 Member entrepreneurs using three selection criteria. First, a fund needed to average a rating of above four on a one to five scale across Track Record, Operating Competence, Pitching Efficiency, Favorable Deal Terms, and Execution Assistance. Second, the fund needed to have at least five postings by the Member entrepreneurs. Lastly, the public and private written commentary needed to be generally positive.

Venture funds that scored well while narrowly missing the top five judging criteria include Opus Capital, BA Venture Partners, Sanders Morris Harris, Accel Partners, and Index Ventures. In regional comparison statistics available on TheFunded.com, US West Coast venture capitalists are generally of the highest quality, according to the Membership. As an example, less than half of the US East Coast venture funds broke an average rating of two on the one to five scale.
