From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 28, Tri-City Shopping Center and Inland Empire United Way (IEUW) will be hosting the third annual Springtacular at 1370 Industrial Park Ave. in Redlands. More than 5,000 local residents are expected to enjoy the Family Fun Day activities including live music, food, carnival rides and major spring and pre-summer sales in more than 50 stores and restaurants. Students from local schools participated on a poster contest and submitted posters for the "Keep My City Clean" poster contest to the school office before April 20. Judging results will be announced at the event and first, second and third place winners earn cash prizes for their classrooms.
"We look forward to bringing the community together and hope event visitors enjoy the special attractions," said Jan Stephens, Hands On Inland Empire Community Resource Manager from Inland Empire United Way. "Hands On Inland Empire encourages community volunteerism, is just one of the programs of Inland Empire United Way."
IEUW's Hands On coordinates local school revitalizations, such as the recent projects at Mentone Elementary and Franklin Elementary, and it also provides ongoing volunteer projects offered through http://www.HandsOnInlandEmpire.org.
