Houston's Asian Chamber of Commerce has selected Transtar POS as an Entrepreneur of the Year (2007) for its achievements as well as its contributions to the community. Transtar POS, along with nine other Asian-American companies, will be honored at the Asian Chamber of Commerce's 12th Annual gala, "Reach for a Magical Dream", on April 27 at the Westin Galleria.

Michael Tran is the President and CEO of Transtar POS, a Houston, Texas-based company that provides hardware, software, technical support and training for 100% touch-screen operated, digital restaurant point-of-sale systems (POS) which are used for the complete management of a restaurant's operations. Transtar POS uses Aldelo software which is the most versatile, user friendly, affordable, and complete POS software in the market.

Michael Tran was born in Vietnam in 1977 and came to the United States with his parents when he was five years-old. He went on to earn a B.S. in Biology from the University of Texas at Austin and later became a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer for Windows NT 4.0. Michael currently resides in Houston with his wife Kathy and their two-year-old son, Evan.
