Golf Season is in Full Swing at Vermont's Basin Harbor Club; Resort Offers Golf 'Stay and Play' Packages

The Basin Harbor Club, located on Lake Champlain in Vermont, offers two packages this summer -- Golf & Relax and Just Play Golf -- on an 18-hole championship course.

Whether choosing a dedicated golf vacation or looking to play a casual round while on vacation, the time-honored sport of golf continues to be a favorite with travelers. For the 2007 season, the Basin Harbor Club in Vermont is offering two golf packages - The Golf & Relax package, offering a nice mix of fun both on and off the course, and the Just Play Golf packaged designed for the die-hard player who just can't get enough time on the links.

The Just Play Golf package includes everything a golfer needs to spend their day out on the course - unlimited greens fees, cart rental, a bucket of Range Balls per day, and a hearty country breakfast daily. Rates start at $180 per night. Guests booking the Golf & Relax Package will enjoy all of they bove, plus a 1/2 hour shoulder and neck massage and $40 voucher for the Red Mill Restaurant, Basin Harbor's casual dining facility. This package starts at $290.00 per night. Both packages are available May 17-June 30, 2007. Rates are based on double occupancy and subject to availability.

Established in 1927 on converted farmland, the Basin Harbor Golf Course is an 18-hole championship course. Players are treated to stunning views of Lake Champlain and the Adirondak mountains, and glimpses of local wildlife. Basin Harbor offers guests lakeside golf on the first course in the state to become a sanctioned Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Golf Course. The program is dedicated to preserving natural resources and enhancing wildlife habitats.

The Resort's PGA staff offers lessons and clinics at Basin Harbor Golf Resort for players of all ages and levels of expertise. Golfers can also stock up at the on-site pro shop, with a complete selection of clothing, accessories and equipment. Remember, regulation clothing and soft spikes are required on the Basin Harbor Golf Course.
