Florida Direct Marketing Association presents "The Six Deadly Sins of Healthcare Marketing, and How to Avoid Them"

Florida Direct Marketing Association presents the educational seminar luncheon --- "The Six Deadly Sins of Healthcare Marketing, and How to Avoid Them" --- in Fort Lauderdale on May 11, 2007. Marketers, healthcare practice owners including physicians, dentists and dental specialists, physical therapists, chiropractors, and audiologists are encouraged to attend, and all will benefit from Mr. Hachenburg's tactical advice and engaged, no-nonsense teaching style.

Fort Lauderdale, FL (PRWEB) May 1, 2007 -- The Florida Direct Marketing Association (FDMA) is hosting a luncheon designed to give healthcare practitioners and professionals from all areas the keys to building a practice or generating referrals through direct marketing. Rich Hachenburg of Competitive Edge Healthcare Marketing presents "The Six Deadly Sins of Healthcare Marketing, and How to Avoid Them", at the organization's monthly luncheon Friday, May 11, 2007. The luncheon will be held at the Westin Hotel on Cypress Creek Road and I-95 in Fort Lauderdale from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. The meeting is open to the public with registration and networking beginning at 11:30 a.m., followed by the lunch and presentation at noon. The cost to attend is $37 for members, $46 for non-members. Attendees are encouraged to register online at www.fdma.org in advance and save $10 over walk-up registration.

"Most Doctors and other healthcare practice owners have had little-to-no training or experience in marketing. They entered private practice to help patients, but find it difficult and frustrating to get new patients through their doors," says Hachenburg, who has worked with over 2000 private practices during his more than 17-year career in healthcare marketing. "Just because a practice is busy, doesn't mean it's successful. They key is to work smarter not harder. Through my experience, I've learned how to help my clients avoid 'The Six Deadly Sins of Healthcare Marketing' so they don't have to learn through trial and error."

Whether they need to market directly to the public (like a plastic surgeon or dentist) or to healthcare industry colleagues in order to generate referrals (like a neurologist or endodontist), there are six common mistakes healthcare and medical practices typically make that must be avoided. These are "The Six Deadly Sins" of healthcare marketing that will be exposed and explained during the luncheon presentation. Healthcare practice owners including physicians, dentists and dental specialists, physical therapists, chiropractors, and audiologists are encouraged to attend, and all will benefit from Mr. Hachenburg's tactical advice and engaged, no-nonsense teaching style.
