NCH Swift Sound Releases Express Talk Softphone for Mac
NCH Swift Sound releases Express Talk softphone for Mac offering VoIP users all the features of the popular PC version including call recording, conferencing and push to talk (intercom) functionality.
Canberra, Australia (PRWEB) May 2, 2007 -- NCH Swift Sound, specialists in business and audio software, announced the release of Express Talk for Mac.
"It is increasingly important to us to offer our products to Mac users. Express Talk for Mac is one of the first of a number of software applications that we will be porting to the OS X platform," said Stephanie Lee, marketing and sales manager for the Australian firm. "It features all the capabilities of the PC version including six lines, call recording, on-hold music and messages, push to talk (Intercom) as well as a similar look and layout to the original version. As with both the PC and the Pocket versions it is designed more for a business user rather than the consumer who may like all the visual extras offered by other products. Our main focus is the quality of audio for the user."
Express Talk for Mac now joins the list of software that has been ported to Mac by NCH Swift Sound which includes Switch Sound File Converter, RecordPad Sound Recorder, Express Dictate, Express Scribe, Transcription Player and the TRx Call Recording application.
"We have over 40 applications available and most of them can be ported to Mac," said Stephanie. "We often receive emails from Mac users asking to see a product ported to Mac and we do base our decisions on this feedback. We are restricted not only by technological differences in the way that audio is handled but also by the current employment market in Australia which finds great programmers a very rare commodity. We're always looking for great talent for both Mac and PCs, even overseas."
NCH Swift Sound is a leader in audio technology. Since 1993 the software development team has released more than 40 Windows, Mac, Palm and Pocket PC applications which are now leaders in their classes and have been awarded for software excellence. The programmers work as, or closely with, sound engineers every day and therefore are able to offer the highest level of expertise and understanding of audio.
