The Mount Washington Resort Invites Guests to Celebrate Mom During Festival Weekend
The Mount Washington Resort will please every palate this year, especially Mom's, as the official host of the 30th Annual Taste of New Hampshire, held Mother's Day weekend, May 11 - 13, 2007. The tasty weekend will kick-off on Friday, May 11 with Ice Carving demonstrations carrying on throughout the day and an afternoon concert in The Mount Washington Hotel's Conservatory. At 6:00 p.m., guests will be invited to attend the Grand Gala cocktail reception and following dinner in the Mount Washington Resort's elegant Dining Room. Tickets to the Gala are $55 per person and $50 per person for a table of ten and will include: Hors D'Oeuvres prepared by eight ACF live action chefs; a four-course dinner created by ACF Chef's and served in the resort's award-winning Dining Room; music provided by The Mount Washington Orchestra; and dancing. For parents, a special Kids' Camp will be available for children aged 4-12, which will serve to entertain young guests with a night of food, crafts and games. An evening movie and concert in the resort's Conservatory will conclude the first night of the weekend festivities.
On Saturday, May 12, guests will be invited to participate in a variety of activities, including: all-day crafting workshops featuring personal gifts for Mom; culinary demonstrations; a skin care workshop; an exclusive tour of the Mount Washington Hotel's Kitchen; a Mom's Tea; a watercolor class; a "Me and Mom" themed Kids' Camp (parents may enjoy a romantic dinner while the kids celebrate Mom with crafts and other activities); and an evening reception featuring a musical performance by the resort's harpist.
On Mother's Day, Sunday May 13, families can attend a Mother's Day Brunch in the resort's beautiful Dining Room. The meal is priced at $32 for adults and $15 for children and will include a delicious menu featuring Apple Smoked Bacon, Chef-carved Prime Rib of Beef, Seared Salmon, Eggplant "Canoli" and much more. After brunch, families will be invited to craft Mother's Day comics at the day's Kids' Camp or enjoy movies that will be offered.
Several packages will be available for those wishing to stay at The Mount Washington Resort over Mother's Day Weekend in conjunction with The 30th Annual Taste of New Hampshire festival. For $350 per couple, per night and based on double occupancy, guests will receive admission to the Gala Reception and Dinner on Friday, breakfast and dinner on Saturday, and breakfast on Sunday.
