New: Ask Crappie Fishing 'Old Time Legends' Answer Any Fishing Question

This brand new crappie fishing "secrets" website allows anyone interested in fishing to engage in a 1 on 1 dialog with old school crappie fishing masters. For those who like fishing, they can now pick the brains of old timers that have been ad it for at least 30 years.

Ventura, CA (PRWEB) May 3, 2007 -- Fishing researcher Dan Eggertsen has recently published a new resource for crappie fishermen around the world - with a very unique twist.

Not only has he gone against common fishing wisdom, creating a lot of controversy, but he's also ruffled the feathers of some of the nation's largest fishing suppliers.

After seeking out dozens of old school crappie fishing masters over the last 6 months, he was able to convince 12 of them - with at least 30 years of experience - from around the U.S. to participate in this ground-breaking crappie fishing project.

Through his numerous discussions with these old timers, he has discovered that crappie fishing equipment is not what is responsible for catching fish. It's the techniques and secrets that make most of the difference between those who catch crappie, and those who go home empty-handed.

In an effort to spread this wealth of crappie fishing knowledge, he's made a unique "crappie fishing portal" available, for free, to any fishermen in the world.

Fisher-people of all ages can now get instant advice from some of the greatest fishing minds in the country. Fishing enthusiasts not only find fish-catching secrets, but they also discover how to save hundreds of dollars on fishing equipment in the process.

This brand-new crappie fishing resource can be found at http://www.askcrappiefishing.com.

When asked about the controversy the site has generated with the large fishing suppliers, Dan replied, "It's something that I expected. The big fishing equipment suppliers can only stay in business by releasing new products every year. The more products they churn out, the more money they make. Many of these products are untested in the natural fishing environment, and have not been proven to help fishermen of any level to catch more fish. I created the site to give crappie fishermen great information from the guys using old school methods to catch crappie. It's really the tactics and strategies that will catch fish, not buying every new product out there on the market. Some equipment has been tested and really helps catch crappie and other species, don't get me wrong, but a lot of it hasn't been tested and was produced to sell to already existing customers - beefing up the fishing suppliers' bottom line."

Dan's site can be visited at Ask Crappie Fishing.
