Black Lab Security's enterprising software protection solution, Shadow®, renders harmless both front-on attacks and "sleeper" infections by doing continuous monitoring of the physical computer files and all incoming/outgoing communications and automatically performing an analysis on all internal connections.

Platinum Productions TV is pleased to announce the selection of Black Lab Security Systems of Columbia, MD for its innovative, educational television series, Pulse on America. The company will be featured in a segment emphasizing enterprise software protection. The show will air on the Discovery Channel on Tuesday, May 8, 2007.

"After careful review of innovative security solution companies, we chose Black Lab because its product, Shadow®, is unique; it disables would-be viruses before they can infect a single home computer or enterprise-wide system and stops attacks from insiders," says Lisa Vrancken, Production Manager of Platinum Productions TV.

The report features the company's President of R&D and Chief Scientist, Robert Terry, who explains how Black Lab's solution renders harmless both front-on attacks and "sleeper" infections by doing continuous monitoring of the physical computer files and all incoming/outgoing communications and automatically performing an analysis on all internal connections. "Shadow detects and shuts down potential threats the instant they appear, whether it be a physical file or unauthorized communications activity" he says.

Jeffrey Smith, Black Lab's President and CEO, says, "I remember how flying used to be. Maybe a little suitcase frisk by a security officer and a quick step through a low powered scanner. This represents the state of computer security development today. The number of threats and breeches in computer security are growing in both number and sophistication every hour of every day; therefore, the security for such must be improving daily."

Smith and Terry, experienced in both private and government systems, have developed Black Lab in the incubator environment of the Columbia, Md., NeoTech Center. "We're excited to have a product that defends the Microsoft environment, is impervious to tampering, and lets people get on with their job," Terry says.
