InterAct Public Safety Systems Announces Electronic Call Detail Record Data Collecting for 9-1-1 Call Centers

HyperionCDR helps organize call detail records into an electronic database, furthering the dream of a paper-free storage and expedient search capabilities.

Winston-Salem, NC (PRWEB) May 7, 2007 -- Hundreds of thousands of 9-1-1 calls are processed by public safety answering points (PSAPs) around the country every day. Data from these calls needs to be stored and archived, and currently, most of this information is being stored as paper reports for future reference making it difficult and time-consuming to find later when it is needed. InterAct Public Safety Systems, a leading provider of public safety technology used by local, state, national, and international government agencies, has announced the release of HyperionCDR, an e-CDR module of HyperionMIS, that stores call records electronically.

When call centers trust their call records to dot matrix printers and box storage, they not only lose efficiency, but actually risk losing valuable data with no way or retrieving it. With HyperionCDR, this information is stored electronically and easily searchable, thereby reducing the expense of storage space and paper costs, and the elimination of wasted hours searching through thousands of paper records.

HyperionCDR is accessed via a standard web browser (internet access is not required only a LAN connection to the computer). Other system requirements are: Microsoft XP compatible computer, recommended 2.6 Ghz processor with 512mb RAM and an 80GB hard drive, and one serial port to capture data.

HyperionCDR also accommodates those who still wish to use paper to store their records by allowing data to be sent to existing serial and parallel-connected printers. HyperionCDR is available as a module of InterAct HyperionMIS and as a stand alone product. For pricing information, please contact 1-800-768-3911.
