A Full-of-Wonder New Children's Book Teaches the Joy of Imagination

Let's Meet Hopper Doodle Bolak by Betty Marrs is a lively children's book which explores the adventures of two children and their fantastical friend.

Arkansas City, Kansas (PRWEB) May 6, 2007 -- Set on a 1930s Kansas dairy farm, Let's Meet Hopper Doodle Bolak by Betty Marrs is an enchanting new children's story about the joy of imaginary friends. Featuring colorful illustrations by Kathy J. Marrs Chandler, the book teaches how imagination can make everyday events more fun.

Many children rely on an imaginary companion to help them through rough times or keep them company as they play, do chores or go to school. Author Betty Marrs has beautifully captured the delight children take in these made-up pals in the gorgeously illustrated and warmly told, Let's Meet Hopper Doodle Bolak.

The character of Hopper Doodle Bolak shows two children how to use their imaginations and creativity to have fun and to get them through the hard times. Many times, Hooper Doodle Bolak also acts as the children's conscience, helping them when they are grappling with issues like getting along with others or playing fair.

Hopper Doodle Bolak was a true imaginary friend of author Betty Marrs' aunt and uncle, Mildred and her brother Dick, who grew up on a dairy farm in Kansas during the Great Depression. The Hopper Doodle Bolak stories were passed down from family member to family member, until the whole family got together to produce this one fanciful book. Charmingly illustrated by Kathy J. Marrs Chandler, this magical story is sure to be a treasured edition to any home or school library.
