New York, NY (PRWEB) May 7, 2007 -- RiverWired.com, the new online community for green and eco living, introduced today its original short video series, Pulse. Pulse videos tell the stories of real people who are living green and helping others do the same.

Featuring personal interviews and unique footage, Pulse's 3-5 minute digital shorts are intimate introductions to eco-savvy people and organizations. Released bi-weekly and widely syndicated on the web, the character-driven stories seek to uncover the ways people are living green and promoting environmental awareness.

"We're not interested in telling the same old stories," said Cris Popenoe, Pulse's Executive Producer and Executive VP of RiverWired. "Pulse is a fresh point of view. We put a lens on all the cool, creative activity that going green is inspiring in people."

Director Jillian Elizabeth O'Connor, a graduate of NYU film school, is an exciting talent in the next generation of documentary filmmaking. Her skills as cinematographer, editor, and director are sought after for feature films and documentaries, independent news organizations, and the New York underground music scene.

"Anyone can live green, and do it in their own way," said O'Connor. "These stories should empower people to make their own kind of changes."

Pulse's premier episode, "Biodiesel, Part I," was well received, and Yahoo! Video featured it on April 22 for Earth Day. Future episodes will focus on topics which include the eco innovations at the Bronx Zoo, organic farming from the point of view of the farmer, green skyscrapers, and a unique eco concierge at a Manhattan luxury hotel and her eco activities with her guests including planning green weddings.

RiverWired.com will host the Pulse homepage, where people will be able to talk about each episode and post their own related videos and photos.
