DC Culinary Training-Ground Takes New Name to Emphasize Mission

Long-time job training program 3rd & Eats takes on new name: New Course Restaurant & Catering.

Washington, DC (PRWEB) May 8, 2007 -- Long known for "good works, good eats," 3rd & Eats Restaurant and training center has re-branded its namesake restaurant and expanded its catering operation under New Course Restaurant & Catering.

"We wanted to be sure our mission was better explained to our customers and to the community," said Tom Knoll and Will Doscher, who lead the organization. "Our restaurant works hand-in-hand with our expanding catering operation. It made sense to consolidate under one banner that spoke to our continued desire to be a culinary training-ground in service to the community."

New Course will be working with the Washington, DC office of Concept Group USA on strategic brand refinement and expansion. "We are thrilled at the pro bono offer of services and expertise from Concept Group USA," said Will Doscher. "With a long history working in the foodservice industry and in building brands, it's a perfect fit for our expansion and for building new partnerships."

From its roots in the nation's capital, and through reaching out to provide workforce solutions to the under-employed and unemployed, New Course Restaurant & Catering seeks each day to exceed customer expectations and to be a positive force for change and better lives in the greater Washington DC area.

Over the coming months signage will change, as will efforts to expand awareness of the good work done by the organization. Partnerships will be built with allied organizations and vendors to strengthen and expand the training programs that have become so vital to so many unemployed and underemployed in the region.
