Orlando, FL (PRWEB) May 9, 2007
The Knifemakers' Guild was established in 1970 and they will be hosting the 38th annual knife show. The Guild is comprised of nearly 300 dedicated knife makers from the United States and 12 other countries whose purpose is to preserve and promote the art of handmade knives with integrity and excellence.
Members of the Knifemakers' Guild have taken the art of knife making to a whole new realm of excellence, the likes of which have to be seen and handled to really appreciate.
Handles are fashioned from some of the most exotic materials imaginable such as the tusk of a wooly mammoth which roamed the earth 25 thousand years ago or perhaps the iridescent black mother-of-pearl from the depths of the Pacific Ocean.
The Knifemakers' Guild has planned four days of great knife events at The Buena Vista Palace Resort, Orlando, FL. July 26 -29, 2007 - Thursday July 26 - President's Gala for honorary members. Open to the Public Friday July 27 - 12 p.m. (noon) to 6 p.m. - Saturday July 28 - 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday July 29 - 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. where everyone is welcome to enjoy or participate in the cutting competitions and educational seminars.
