Furqaan Film's Loses Their Senior Producer to Cardiac Arrest the Week Before the First Day of Filming in New York City

I am deeply saddened about the untimely death of Michael Bell. Mr. Bell was one of the producers on my film project which focuses on the struggles and redemption of addictions and power. I feel strongly about this films strength to touch and save the lives of other people who maybe struggling as well. My heart goes out to his family and those who were close to him

Furqaan Films suffered the loss of its senior producer Mr. Michael Bell. On Wednesday May 2, 2007, Michael "Mike" Bell passed away of cardiac arrest in New Jersey at the age of 39.

Second in command, Michael was the right hand of Furqaan Films and a driving force behind the film projects and growth leading the company to be named "Harlem's fastest rising film company." While he leaves no children behind, he does leave a sister, brother, his mother, a large staff and host of friends to carry on his legacy.

"Mike was more than just my business partner; he was one of my best friends. He had the ability to captivate people with his personality, his charm and was with me from the beginning of Furqaan Films. Words are so insufficient right now and can not convey the emotions I am experiencing, nor the sympathy I feel for those affected by this unforeseen tragic event," said Furqaan Clover, CEO of Furqaan Films and Mike's best friend.

This sad death comes upon the threshold of the kick off week of filming Wendy Williams' highly anticipated print to screen project entitled the "Queen of Media," which is based upon her autobiographical NY best seller "Wendy's Got the Heat." While the void is insurmountable from Mike's passing and will never be filled, Furqaan Films and Wendy Williams have agreed that this film will be dedicated to Mr. Bell.

The first day of filming is still set for May 11, 2007 at Washington Square Park in New York City. Mike was preparing tirelessly with the rest of the film crew to make sure all was in place to begin filming this Friday, and Furqaan said everything will be in place, ready to roll on time as planned to honor Mike's memory and hard work. A moment of silence for Mike will take place before the first shot is rolled.

"I am deeply saddened about the untimely death of Michael Bell. Mr. Bell was one of the producers on my film project which focuses on the struggles and redemption of addictions and power. I feel strongly about this films strength to touch and save the lives of other people who maybe struggling as well. My heart goes out to his family and those who were close to him," says Wendy Williams.

According to official records and reports No foul play or substances have been deemed the direct cause of his cardiac arrest. We ask that you respect the family's privacy and understand that Michael's family and staff of Furqaan Films is in mourning at this time.
