Chicago, Illinois (PRWEB) May 10, 2007 -- The International Academy of Design & Technology in Chicago (IADT - Chicago) is pleased to announce the 28th annual student fashion show, Imagine 2007. www.iadtchicago.edu/imagine/index.asp
For the fifth consecutive year, General Motors Corporation is sponsoring the IADT - Chicago student fashion show, as well as the fashion design competition "Runway to Future Design and Technology." GM will choose five student winners to be featured alongside other designers at Imagine 2007, allowing them the opportunity to showcase their creativity by basing all clothing designs around a GM vehicle. This year, students will base their creations on the Chevrolet Volt, Chevrolet Camaro Convertible, Buick Enclave, Cadillac CTS and the Saturn Aura Hybrid Green Line. Designs will be inspired by the automobiles and will express the vehicles' form, shape, technology, materials, color, features, "stance" and character through clothing design.
Imagine 2007 involves all IADT - Chicago degree programs, giving students a chance to display their skills and talents. Students from the Interior Design (set design), Merchandising Management (production assistance), Visual Communications (video production and collateral materials) and the Information Technology (data collection) programs will produce an exhilarating and successful fashion show in Chicago.
Imagine 2007 will be held at Union Station in Chicago on May 17, 2007. Doors will open at 6 p.m. for a VIP reception. The fashion show will begin at 8 p.m. Tickets go on sale April 20 at the IADT - Chicago bookstore, 1 North State Street, 5th floor. Student tickets will sell for $25; general admission is $40. VIP tickets will be available for $60 and will include a reception, reserved seating and a gift bag. All VIP tickets must be purchased in advance and no tickets will be sold the night of the show.
