SentrX Animal Care Awards Students for Top Science and Engineering Projects
Utah students showcase their skills in science at The 2007 Salt Lake Valley Science & Engineering Fair
Salt Lake City (PRWEB) May 10, 2007 -- SentrX Animal Care, Inc., a leading provider of innovative healing biomaterials for horses and small animals, recently presented awards for the top three projects related to animal science, including treatment and care, at the 2007 Salt Lake Valley Science & Engineering Fair.
The winners are as follows:
| | - First Place: Alina Fong from East High School for her work on "Canine Intelligence."
- Second Place: Amy Rallison from Hillside Middle School for her project on "The Effect of Different Cleaning Agents on Oiled Feathers."
- Third Place: Carlee Schmidt from Hillside Middle School for her project titled, "Primary Paw Preference and How it Relates to Human Handedness."

"The fair provides a unique opportunity for students to showcase their skills in the science and engineering fields," said Brenda Mann, chief operating officer of SentrX Animal Care, and co-director of the fair. The Salt Lake Valley Science Engineering Fair was held this spring. The event was organized by the Utah Science Center in partnership with the University of Utah. The largest since its conception, this year's fair took over 237 entries, compared to 183 entries the previous year. Students participated from grades five through 12, stemming from the Salt Lake, Granite, Murray, and Tooele school districts.
