McLean, Va. (PRWEB) May 16, 2007 -- According to a report released today by Technology Evaluation Centers, Inc. (TEC), LogiXML's Logi 8 BI Platform rates best in class as the only fully Web-based business intelligence suite. The report rates the industry's top ranked BI offerings from Business Objects, Information Builders, LogiXML and Microsoft.
The report analyzed emerging trends that make Web-based BI more pervasive within the industry. When comparing solutions in the emerging BI web space, evaluations were based on architecture as well as features and functionality.
According to report author and TEC analyst Lyndsay Wise, "Unlike many other BI vendors that only provide a Web front-end, LogiXML's offering also provides a back-end platform and development tool set that are Web-based." Wise adds, "Thus, the vendor's delivery is a unified approach for organizations within the mid-market that want easy deployments and management of their BI environments without the added integration and management issues."
Logi 8 offers a complete set of valuable BI components that the various users in an organization can implement and use as they need to, for both technical and non-technical report developers and report consumers. Logi 8 is comprised of LogiXML's comprehensive reporting solutions: Logi Ad Hoc Reporting, Logi Info, Logi OLAP and Logi Mart.
"This appointment reaffirms what we've believed all along - that the size of a company is not a reflection of the breadth and depth of its product offering. We have worked very hard to be evaluated in the same company with organizations like Microsoft and Business Objects, and to receive acknowledgement as the most complete Web-based offering is tremendous," said Arman Eshraghi, founder and CEO, LogiXML.
The evaluation criterion was separated into four areas including Web-based development tools, platform and reporting, OLAP and analysis. The ratings were based on criteria identified as key factors for organizations to consider when evaluating a Web-based BI tool. Wise concludes, "LogiXML provides a Web-based development environment, enabling easy implementation through downloads as opposed to organization-wide integration activities."
