The reunion committee for the Wheat Ridge High School class of 1977 has announced that the 30 year high school reunion will be held August 4, 2007 at the Lakewood Country Club in Lakewood, Colorado.
The event will feature a dinner buffet and dance, complete with tunes from the 1970's. Tickets are $85/per person. Full payment is due by June 4, 2007.
Reunions are a very popular way for people to reconnect. Classmates.com, an online social networking site, found that 74% of their members plan to attend their next high school reunion. Committee members Pamela Swingley and Terri Smith are actively seeking Wheat Ridge class of 1977 alumni.
"A great reunion is built on strong attendance," notes Pamela Swingley, committee chair. "Our class has not had a reunion in over 10 years, This is a rare opportunity to reconnect and share memories."
Wheat Ridge High School has a long history of active students. Committee member, Terri Smith recalls the class of 1977's school spirit, "We had a large pep club, letter girls and cheerleaders for every sport. We're looking forward to reviving some of that spirit at the reunion."
