Diet and Weight Loss Information Featured in Spring Launch of Second Opinion Website

Videos, audio interviews, articles, books, and information relating to a complete and thorough understanding of diet and weight loss alternatives are now available at secondopinion.org. The website, launched in April, offers users an opportunity to get the latest medical news and become fully informed about a wide range of various and alternative therapies available to them before they actually visit a health professional.

(PRWEB) May 17, 2007 -- If to be forewarned is to be forearmed, then secondopinion.org is aiming to arm a new generation of information-seeking consumers with facts, resources, and qualified opinions about alternative medical therapies and treatments available to them--all before visiting a healthcare professional. That is the goal on the organization's new website, launched this spring. The featured subject for the first full month of source material is diet and weight loss.

"Most diets don't work, and now more than ever, people need current, unbiased knowledge to help inform their decision making," said Dr. Shawn R. Benzinger, founder of secondopinion.org and noted Indianapolis physician. "What you'll get on our site is simple: unfiltered, unbiased and complete information, directly from various authors and experts, including myself. All without the pressure of being sold something."

The inaugural feature articles for April focus on diet and weight loss, including such hot topics as child obesity, food portions, weight loss surgery, low carb dieting, and mindless eating.

Over time, secondopinion.org will compile an accessible, on-line archive of wide-ranging medical articles, books, videos, audio interviews, positions and opinions from leading healthcare sources. Adds Dr. Benzinger, "April is just the beginning. Current, accessible knowledge will give consumers the best chance to become informed and to help themselves." Monthly topics will range from managing stress and losing weight, to monitoring your blood pressure, women's health issues, even managing pain and exploring alternative therapies.
