InterExchange, Inc. Creates Interexchange Foundation Grant Program Foundation to Support Young Americans in Living and Working Abroad

InterExchange, Inc. announces the creation of the InterExchange Foundation Grant Program to make financial grants available to young Americans interested in international work abroad programs.

New York (PRWEB) May 22, 2007 -- InterExchange, Inc. (http://www.interexchange.org) announces the creation of the InterExchange Foundation Grant Program to make financial grants available to young Americans interested in international work abroad programs.

Funding will support Americans (aged 18-28) with an interest in experiencing new cultures through meaningful work or volunteer experiences. Awards are intended to defray the costs of transportation, participation fees, travel insurance, housing, and meals related to a work, internship, or volunteer abroad program. Preference will be given to those who demonstrate an interest in cultural exchange, and financial need.

InterExchange was founded by Uta and Paul Christianson to facilitate international understanding, friendship and cooperation between citizens of the United States and other countries. The InterExchange Foundation was created to make similar cultural exchange experiences available to young Americans as the many thousands of participants who are welcomed to the United States through InterExchange's J-1 and H-2B Visa programs.

"By funding grants for eligible young Americans interested in exploring the world around them, we hope to increase the number of Americans involved in international work exchanges," said InterExchange founder Uta Christianson.

InterExchange is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting cultural awareness through a wide range of work & travel, language, volunteer, professional training, internship and au pair programs within the United States and around the world.
