Delta Technology's Enterprise Content Soars With Armedia

Delta Technology leverages Armedia's services to archive EMC® Documentum® repositories.

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) May 21, 2007 -- Armedia LLC, a leading provider of content management related products, today announced it is working together with Delta Technology, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Delta Air Lines to deploy EMC-powered archiving services to better manage critical aircraft maintenance records.

Chuck LeClair, Director Engineering and Common Services, Delta Technology, said, "Archiving is a key component to our Documentum strategy, helping to reduce Delta's total cost of storage ownership," Armedia and EMC continue to be great partners in helping us work towards our success."

Delta is a long-time customer of EMC storage systems and software, including VMware, EMC Captiva® and EMC Documentum® -- with 22 repositories containing over 27 million objects. In 2006, Delta Technology and Armedia jointly provided services to reclaim space on EMC Symmetrix storage devices; and in 2007, Delta Technology began secure archival storage of operational content maintained in EMC Documentum repositories.

"EMC is dedicated to helping our customers meet the challenge of managing enterprise content throughout its lifecycle, from creation to archival." EMC's Jay Dewalt, Vice President of Indirect and Solution Sales, World Wide for Content Management & Archiving said, "As a member of both the EMC Velocity and 'Designed for EMC' programs,' Armedia shows commitment to excellence in enterprise content management and archive applications, and is further evidenced by its work with Delta Technology."

"Armedia is proud of the work it has done for Delta Technology," Jim Nasr, CEO and co-Founder, Armedia, stated. "Developing solutions that have a long-lasting effect on a company's goals is one of our key motivations."

Delta Technology will showcase work done with Armedia during a session at EMC World 2007 in Orlando, Florida May 21-24.
