(PRWEB) May 20, 2007 -- JD Music Ltd. of Boston, and Berklee College of Music, announced the completion of a song written and produced specifically for the Virginia Tech Community... from a New England community (New Hampshire to Cape Cod) of students, teachers and parents who also happen to be writers and musicians.

"Sweet Virginia" is an uplifting song, meant to celebrate the lives of the students, teachers, parents, brothers, sisters and friends lost in the recent tragedy at Virginia Tech. It will be available for download within a few days and has been offered to Virginia Tech to be played on the university radio station (WUVT-FM.) All monies downloaded from this site will go directly to a Virginia Tech Scholarship Fund.

In addition to use by Virginia Tech, because of this unofficial "partnership," with Berklee College of Music, JD Music will offer the same opportunity to set up a link to download "Sweet Virginia," with all proceeds going to a Scholarship Fund to be offered at Berklee College.

All those who worked so hard on this project did so in the hope that this small gesture will honor the memories of those who died, the survivors, families and friends of all those touched by this life-changing event.
