Redwood City, Calif. (PRWEB) May 20, 2007 -- W. L. Butler Construction, Inc., a general contractor specializing in superior quality automotive and retail projects, industrial buildings, commercial shells and tenant improvements, was named one of the "Best Places to Work in the Bay Area" by The San Francisco Business Times, East Bay Business Times and the Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal.
With an overall score of 93.26, the company ranked 11th among companies with 51-100 Bay Area employees, and was the only construction company listed within this category. The annual list was compiled based on results from a survey of more than 160,000 employees in varying industries throughout Alameda, Contra Costa, Monterey, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, San Benito, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Solano, Sonoma and Marin. Over 465 entries were received for this year's award, and only the top 100 were recognized.
"W. L. Butler Construction is a company that prides itself on innovation and creating the "next best thing," which for us is Building Our Client's Vision," says Bill Butler, Founder of W. L. Butler Construction, Inc. "Being acknowledged as one of the best places to work speaks highly of our company, and most importantly about our extraordinary team. Based on our reputation, we are able to attract and retain the very best construction talent and project managers within the industry. It's their dedication to providing 100% client satisfaction using a team approach that ensures our ongoing success."
The top 100 companies were based on employee responses to an anonymous 37 multiple choice questionnaire evaluating team effectiveness, retention risk, alignment with company goals, trust among coworkers, individual contribution, manager effectiveness, trust in senior leaders, feeling valued and overall job satisfaction. In order for the nominees to become eligible for the final list, completed questionnaires were required from at least 70 percent of a company's Bay Area employees.
"Building is about more than tools; it's about people. Along with a competitive compensation and benefits package, we offer an inviting culture and supportive work environment focusing on safety, teamwork, growth, family, integrity, community, respect, flexibility and most importantly having FUN," says Margaret Esplana, Director of Human Resources for W.
