Over 2,000 companies within the Greater Reading Chamber of Commerce applied to receive this special recognition. To compete, Solar Innovations was required to provide information relating to annual revenue, supporting claim to annual revenue of $1 million for the past three years. In addition, Solar exhibited an astounding 44% increase in revenue in 2006. A young company, established in 1997, Solar Innovations today generates between $1 million to $2 million in sales per month from its current facility, a 50,000 square foot facility in Myerstown, PA. With Solar Innovations' plans to break ground this year on a new 200,000 square foot facility, the company looks to an even greater increase in these numbers. The new space will include dealer and architect training facilities, an R&D test lab, an employee recreation center, an extensive showroom, and more. With the move to the new facility, Solar will look to increase the number of current employees from 80 to over 125 employees as production capabilities increase.
