(PRWEB) May 23, 2007 -- Well known in the New York indie-rock scene, Backlight Record signees, Holler Wild, Rose! are making their second trip up North to Canada where their sparkling and ambient rock-based experimental music will be showcased two nights in a row.
On Sunday, May 27th, the six piece band will be playing an Arthritis Benefit show in St.Catharines at Rockford's (88 St. Paul Street) alongside other experimental Canadian rock bands; Ragni, Numbers & Figures, and Rockets! who have all been making waves here on home turf for the past few years or so.
On the following night, Monday, May 28th, all four bands will venture to Toronto to play a show at the Tiger Bar (414 College St.). Holler, Wild Rose! will be headlining this date, and it will provide an opportunity for the diverse music scene in Toronto to experience a night of unforgettable music.

Ragni are an experimental rock-based progeny from St.Catharines, Ontario. They've played many shows around Toronto as well as toured Europe attracting listeners far and wide and bringing them in close at their intimate and mesmerizing live performances. Their debut EP is a beautiful display of whispery tunes and luscious soundscapes, that's received rave reviews since its release last year! More info about Ragni can be found here: www.ragni.org
Toronto's Numbers & Figures are gaining speed in the indie-rock world due to their irresistible talents for writing aggressive and angular rock that's constantly breaking down boundaries. Once known as Portraits, Numbers & Figures signed to new independent Toronto label, The Meadows Collective, this year and will be releasing their full length debut this Summer, which was recorded at Sleepytown Sound with Ryan Mills. In the same vein as Moneen or The Meligrove Band, Numbers & Figures are destined to leave a mark on any audience member lucky enough to witness their energetic live sets. Last but certainly not least is Barrie, Ontario's Rockets! This exuberant three piece whips up indie-rock with folksy, pop, grindcore influences all intertwined, with a penchant for huge group courses and dance-able synth melodies. They also signed to The Meadows Collective at the beginning of this year and have already released their stunning debut album, We Are The Great Canadian Shield, at the beginning of May. May will see them playing many shows around and outside of Barrie. They have already shared the stage with Japanther, DD/MM/YYYY, the Germans, The Racket, and many more, and if their bombastic live shows and loyal fan base say anything, it's that these boys are going places!
