The Wooten's and MIE are stepping away from the norm of traditional labels by allowing artists to have the freedom to work on their craft while meeting their personal and professional needs and relieving them of the financial stresses of getting started in the business.
The label provides them with all necessary professional services as well as food, clothing and even housing, if needed, to allow them an artist friendly environment to launch their music careers. In addition, the label is equipped with a state-of-the-art recording studio where their artists can work at their leisure in a professional environment. The recording studio is also available to outside recording artists for sessions.
Both Dr. and Mrs. Wooten have had many successes in their own right and because of this they are able to generously provide for their artists in a charitable way. Dr. Duane Wooten, MIE President and CFO, and owner of four doctor's offices, also known to his patients as "Dr. Woo-Woo," is a well known, Phoenix, Arizona-based pediatrician who among his many honors is the 2005 winner of the NAACP Image Award for Medicine. His wife Dyanna is an accomplished songwriter, published poet and successful voiceover actor featured in local and national commercials for the past 10 years.
MIE features artists from a full range of music genres from Gospel and R&B to Country Western. Most notable is aspiring Los Angeles-based gospel artist Chris Bolton, former background singer for platinum selling duo Mary Mary and the legendary Chaka Khan. His upcoming debut solo project "Believe" will be released May 29, 2007.
