National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA) has extended its contract with Ecom PPO Advisors, Inc. SM as its source for PPO savings, analysis and network administration.
Dallas, TX (PRWEB) May 24, 2007 -- National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA) has extended its contract with Ecom PPO Advisors, Inc. SM as its source for PPO savings, analysis and network administration.
Ecom announced today that NRECA, based in Arlington, Va., has agreed to extend their existing contract for an additional two years. Ecom will continue to provide NRECA with analysis, PPO administration services and workflow streamlining through 2009.
"NRECA is very pleased to extend our partnership with Ecom PPO Advisors, Inc. During the two-and-a-half years of our relationship, we have accessed additional network discounts not otherwise available to us. We have met our goal of increasing our auto-adjudication rate on claims. Also, we have leveraged Ecom's analytical consulting skills and the strength of their block of business in negotiating with potential network partners. In addition to the PPO network discounts and consulting opportunities afforded by our relationship, our contacts at Ecom provide a prompt and professional level of service," said NRECA Director of Community Health Care, Marty Ahrens.
NRECA is the national service organization that represents the nation's more than 900 private, consumer-owned electric cooperative utilities, which provide electric service to 37 million people in 47 states.
Under the terms of the agreement, Ecom will create and provide a customized claims workflow to address NRECA's complex PPO network and repricing needs. The agreement also has tremendous significance for Ecom in the marketplace, as it will increase the total number of PPO members for whom Ecom handles administration, to more than 500,000.
"Our relationship has been growing and evolving since its inception and we are very pleased with the progress. We have learned much while providing service to NRECA, which has enhanced the overall value of Ecom's service to all of our clients. We are pleased to join with NRECA to extend our contract for another two years, as I believe we still have much more to accomplish. NRECA is one of our most valued and trusted partners and we look forward to our continued relationship," said Ecom Chairman and CEO, Cade Havard.
