Summer Takes a Hip Turn When the Martini Meets the Chocolate Bar
Chocolat Frey introduces Euro-Cool flavors and continental Martini makeovers.
Buchs, Switzerland (PRWEB) May 30, 2007 -- Good-bye olives and cocktail onions. Move over fruits and veggies. Who said the American cocktail lacks European panache? Make way for the hottest new martini ingredient: gourmet Swiss chocolate bars.
Martinis have hosted vegetables, fruits, and even sweet liqueurs, but rarely has real chocolate been brought into the equation. Now, Chocolat Frey, Switzerland's #1 chocolate maker, brings four new and unique Euro-cool flavors to the scene for summer refreshment: Cinnamon & Blood Orange, White Lemon & Lime, Tiramisù, and Swiss favorite Japonais (extra fine milk chocolate with hazelnut and crunchy meringue biscuit filling). While these exotic chocolate flavors are delicious on their own, together they are transforming the American martini into a molecular cuisine experience - the Euro-cool trend bursting from Michelin five-star restaurants to local coffee houses.
Frey remains on the cutting-edge of epicurean bliss through its creation of unique and unexpected chocolate flavors. Once again the world-renowned Swiss chocolatier is at the epicenter of taste synergies, transporting the "science of deliciousness" to North America, creating a crisp new drink where the martini meets the paramount of Swiss chocolate: the Freytini.
Chocolat Frey has enlisted popular East Coast mixologist Andrew Gerofsky, better known as The Martini Czar, to create four unique and unexpected salivary experiences that seduce the senses while enticing the taste buds.
The Czar has dedicated his professional life to bringing innovative drinking and dining experiences to his customers. "Martinis," he says, "are not just shaken and served with an olive. They are a designer's expression of the drinker's taste."
With the same avant-garde approach used to pair his customers' personalities and drink flavors, The Czar has created Freytini recipes specifically to complement Frey's distinctive chocolate flavors, while enhancing the mouthfeel and taste. Chocolate lovers can express their moods with these one-of-a-kind cocktails. To determine what type of chocolate personality you possess, go to www.chocolat-frey.com/chocolatequiz.
Frey's distinctive chocolate fusions allow you to create your own exclusive cocktail with one (or more!) of its 11 exotic flavors: Cinnamon & Blood Orange, White Lemon & Lime, Tiramisù, Japonais, Citron & Poivre (lemon pepper), White Blueberry, Café & Cacao, Coeur de Macadamia, Bouquet d'Oranges, Pécan & Caramel, and Hot Chilli Pepper. Fusing the sophisticated tastes and textures of gourmet chocolate with the high art of martini making, this refreshing martini makeover comes in time for warm weather entertaining.
So, kick back this summer and create your own unique taste-sensation with the best in luxury white spirits and some of the world's best white chocolate. Or muddy the martini with truly decadent flavor-infused milk chocolate. For a trend-setting pool party, create your own extraordinary pleasure or ask your friends to pick their favorite chocolate bar flavor and personalize each Freytini according to individual tastes.
Fashion-forward Freytinis are a light, smooth way to pamper yourself and your friends this summer. Set a day - perhaps a "Freytini Friday" - aside to celebrate chocolate the Euro-cool way on the beach, on your patio, or during a special summer sunset. Freeze a White Lemon & Lime bar for the ultimate in cool refreshment. Indulge your personal sophistication with retro-hip Bond movies or a day at the spa. The martini is getting a makeover. Shouldn't you?
The new Chocolat Frey flavors will be available this summer exclusively at Target stores nationwide. Below, the Martini Czar introduces the world's first Freytini recipes made with the new Euro-cool flavors. These original and exclusive recipes create a flavor pairing specific to each Frey chocolate bar flavor added to the drink. The Cinnamon Sunset Freytini's rich, smooth mouthfeel is created by coating the rim of the glass with an oversized 10.5 oz. bar of Frey Swiss Dark Chocolate, the perfect "party bar" with enough chocolate to coat the rims of 16 glasses. The best part of any Freytini is the mouthfeel you experience while indulging in the liquor-soaked chocolate square at the bottom of the glass. Bottoms up.
