Webmail.us Aligns with Industry Groups to Fight Spam and Help Good Email Get Delivered

The Email Hosting Company Joins the Messaging Anti-Abuse Working Group (MAAWG) and the Email Sender and Provider Coalition (ESPC)

BLACKSBURG, VA (PRWEB) May 31, 2007 -- Webmail.us, a leading provider of email hosting services to more than 47,000 small, medium, and geographically dispersed businesses, recently joined the Email Sender and Provider Coalition (ESPC) and the Messaging Anti-Abuse Working Group (MAAWG). The company joined these two organizations to further its commitment to help the industry fight spam while helping businesses make sure their good emails get delivered. Both organizations are keenly focused on the fight against messaging abuse and continuously improving guidelines for legitimate email distribution.

Webmail.us has more than eight years of experience in the email hosting industry and currently provides business-class email to more than 480,000 business users worldwide. "Stopping spam and helping customers with email deliverability have both been a part of our business for a long time," said Pat Matthews, chief executive officer at Webmail.us, Inc. "But as the industry matures, it is important for us to align ourselves with those working on similar initiatives. MAAWG and the ESPC bring a wealth of like-minded organizations to the table. We are eager to work with them, learn from them, and hopefully contribute the things we have learned, back to them."

Webmail.us also recently launched an email marketing service, a service that allows customers to send opt-in email newsletters to large groups. "Our customers have been demanding this service for a long time," explained Matthews. "It goes to show that email is still the preferred form of communication whether the communication is one-to-one or one-to-many. This accentuates the need for organizations like MAAWG and the ESPC and our need to be aligned with them."

Webmail.us has been experiencing rapid growth, adding more than 15,000 businesses to its email hosting system in the last four months.
