LobsterTunes, released earlier this month as a full-featured MP3 player with wireless streaming capabilities, will now enable users to listen to Internet radio and also will cache hundreds of tunes to SD cards.
LobsterTunes offers a rich mobile music experience that provides over-the-air access to a music collection stored on a home PC. When launched on the Pocket PC, LobsterTunes immediately goes online via WiFi or 3G and connects to music folders stored on the PC. Users can then browse the music library and build a playlist of the tracks they want to hear.
LobsterTunes now comes bundled with pre-loaded radio stations settings for the US, UK, Germany and France. Any Internet radio stations can be added and more are available to download. The new Extended Caching feature gives users access to hundreds of their favorite tunes even when they lose their wireless signal. LobsterTunes now caches songs to the SD card, not only enabling users to access their tunes list, but saving battery power and drastically reducing network traffic compared to streaming-only solutions.
LobsterTunes will also now allow users to view all the recently downloaded tracks, offering one more way that they can play their music even when they have no wireless connection.
