Brazilian Butt Lift surgeon Ricardo Rodriguez, M.D. Marks 3rd Anniversary on July 2nd of All Buttocks Procedures Without a Single Touch-Up or Re-do.

One of the most exacting and demanding procedures in plastic surgery is the placement of tiny fat droplets into the buttocks of patients undergoing the Brazilian Butt Lift. Usually, about 10 percent of those patients require re-dos or touch-ups. But plastic surgeon, Ricardo L. Rodriguez, M.D., is batting one thousand in creating beautiful backsides for his patients. No Brazilian Butt Lift patients have asked for any additional work. July 2nd marks the 3rd Anniversay

Baltimore, Maryland (PRWEB) June 25, 2007 -- It's probably the most painstaking task performed in all plastic surgery. Brazilian Butt Lift surgeon Ricardo Rodriguez. M.D. does buttock augmentation, drop by tiny drop, hour after hour. But after two years of performing the procedure, not a single patient has asked for a touch-up or re-do. July 2nd marks the 3rd anniversary of doing flawless Brazilian butt lifts.

Placing drops of fat -- like a string of pearls -- into a patient's buttock muscles is only half the mission. To provide flat-bottomed patients with perky, youthful buttocks -- and more sensual figures -- Dr. Rodriguez, very slowly and carefully, extracts fat from places where patients have some to spare.

He and a team of colleagues then work with the fat, being even more diligent not to expose the donated fat to air which can harm fat cells. After the fat is prepared, Dr. Rodriguez spends at least four more hours placing hundreds of tiny highly purified fat cells throughout the many layers of the patient's buttocks. (The fat injection procedure is also used on the face.)

Results: After six to eight hours of close, detailed work rivaled only by watchmakers, Dr. Rodriguez has created a shapely, curved derriere that will help the patient look great in the latest styles and swimwear, after healing.

Fat Transfer
"When done correctly, fat transfer to the buttocks is permanent," Dr. Rodriguez says.

Fat is actually a pretty delicate tissue. For instance, an ordinary liposuction machine should not be used to harvest donor fat from the patient because the powerful suction damages fat cells. Instead, the board certified, Yale-trained Dr. Rodriguez manually removes donor fat with a syringe. Then, the fat is separated from other fluids with a centrifuge, a whirling device used in labs. But the centrifuge can't spin too fast least it also ruin the donor cells. Several more careful, diligent steps by a team of nurses provide almost 100 percent pure, live fat cells for the doctor to inject.

Next, Dr. Rodriguez spends two to four more exacting hours slowly and carefully injecting the fat cells throughout the layers of the buttock muscles. With the hand of an artist and the patience of Job, he sees where a patient's backside needs another touch here or another drop there. Tiny needles -- the size of a tennis racket string -- are employed for this task.

Brazilian Butt
Fat cells are placed in such tiny drops so a blood supply can get to them. However, if the fat cells were just squirted into a large clump, most would never find a blood supply and whither.

Finally, the doctor also asks patients to do something equally demanding: forego sitting for three weeks.

"I explain that fat cells are like the most tender seedlings," Dr. Rodriguez says. "The blood vessels growing into the fat droplets are only one or two cells thick at the end of the first week; the cells are likely to be disrupted if mashed by the patient's body."

During the second week after the surgery, tiny capillaries continue growing into the fat drops. But the pressure of sitting would still be too great.

"You may think patients would not comply about sitting, but they do," Dr. Rodriguez says. "I just explain it's a matter of cell survival and getting the best look possible for their emerging new derrière. The period after surgery is just as important as the surgery itself."

After healing, the patient looks exceedingly shapely because the doctor has removed fat from above and from the sides of her buttocks, creating a much more shapely body overall.

Butt Implant
Dr. Rodriguez performs the Brazilian Butt Lift in a hospital with his patients under general anesthesia. In most cases, they are free to leave after a short rest and recovery period.

If a patient is very thin and has no fat to spare, Dr. Rodriguez performs a buttocks lift with special silicone implants. However, the doctor much prefers fat transfer because it is the patient's natural tissues.

"All my patients are satisfied because I have not had a single request for a re-do or a touch up of a Brazilian Butt since I started offering the procedure," Dr. Rodriguez says. "So the meticulous efforts are well worth it. Moreover, many of my patients travel here from far away."

There has always been more focus and attention on shapely derrieres in South America than in North America.

Butt Enhancement
"It shows in the cultures," Dr. Rodriguez says. "In Latin America, the most movement in dancing is done below the waist. But in North America, most people dance with movements above their waist."
