Collectors and Investors from Around the World Plan to Attend the Annual Knifemakers' Guild Show

Renowned knife makers unveil their newest knife designs for all to see.

Chicago, IL (PRWEB) June 1, 2007 -- Thousands of those who collect knives for pleasure and investment will come from around the globe to attend The Knifemakers' Guild show in Orlando, FL. They come each year to view and purchase exquisite pieces of work from their renowned makers. This is also the time when the attendees have the opportunity to meet their favorite knife maker and learn directly from them how and why a knife has come to fruition.

The early beginnings of the Knifemaker's Guild can be traced back to February 1970 when a small group of knife makers held the first show at the Sahara Hotel in Las Vegas, NV. From this beginning the Knifemakers' Guild was formed and the purpose of the Guild continues to be promoting custom knives and knife makers. After 38 years and nearly 300 dedicated members from the United States and 12 other countries the motto of the Guild continues to be "Integrity and Excellence".

The art of knife making has been taken to a whole new realm of excellence. These knives must be seen and handled in order to really appreciate the effort and artistry that goes into them. Handles are fashioned from some of the most exotic materials imaginable such as the tusk of a wooly mammoth which roamed the earth 25 thousand years ago or perhaps the iridescent black mother-of-pearl from the depths of the Pacific Ocean.

The Knifemakers' Guild has planned four days of great knife events at The Buena Vista Palace Resort, Orlando, FL. July 26 -29, 2007 -- Thursday July 26 -- President's Gala for honorary members. Open to the General Public Friday July 27 - 12 p.m. (noon) to 6 p.m. Saturday July 28 - 10 a.m. to 6 p.m .and Sunday July 29 - 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. where everyone is welcome to enjoy or participate in the cutting competitions and educational seminars.
