The countdown has begun to the June 8th system reboot, which will bring the long-time website into the 21st century with new features, a high-tech look and cool Flash animation.

The countdown has begun to the June 8th system reboot, which will bring the long-time website into the 21st century with new features, a high-tech look and cool Flash animation.
For those of you who don't know, Advanced Iron is the longest running Iron Man fanzine in the world. It was started way back in 1993 as a hardcopy-published fanzine and has been published online since 2000. Over the years there have been 70 issues of the 'zine published and it has included custom artwork, short stories, editorials and articles about our favorite Armored Avenger that could be found no where else.
The driving forces behind Advanced Iron have changed a number of times over the years and the website has been pretty much the same for quite a while due to the "real world" commitments of folks who've been running the operation. Well, things are about to change.
With the recent resurgence of Iron Man in the Marvel Universe: Extremis, Civil War and Tony Stark/Iron Man as Head of S.H.I.E.L.D, combined with the production of the long awaited and highly anticipated Iron Man movie being helmed by Jon Favreau and starring Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark, Advanced Iron is coming into the 21st century with a ground-up redesign and will be the source for Iron Man news and information for both the movie and comics.
