Lukens Group Scoops Up Ice Cream Fun
Victorian Ice Cream Festival set for July 14, 2007.
Coatesville, PA (PRWEB) June 4, 2007 -- The Graystone Society of Coatesville announces its tenth annual Victorian Ice Cream Festival. The festival will be held on the grounds of The Lukens National Historic District on South First Avenue on July 14, 2007, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This event will be followed by the City of Coatesville's firework display in the evening.
This family-friendly festival has proven to be a summertime icon with its hand-dipped locally made ice cream, sizzling hot dogs, juicy hamburgers, Ukrainian pierogies and a wide selection of other taste-tempting fair foods. Attractions include something for the young and the not so young alike. The grown-ups will love the stunning display of vintage automobiles from one of Chester County's most prestigious car clubs, the always-memorable Lukens' Band, artists, crafters and a Flea Market, plus historic house tours of Terracina, Graystone Mansion and The Lukens Executive Office Building. Little ones will enjoy the Puppet Theater, Baton School, Face Painters and Jugglers.

WCOJ will also be producing a live remote from the site with some of their most popular shows! The Graystone Society, which was created in 1984 to help preserve the city's historic architecture, also assists with municipal improvement and economic development through preservation. The Graystone Society is named for the Graystone Mansion, part of The Lukens National Historic District, which is the future home of The National Iron and Steel Heritage Museum. This museum will focus on the people, places, products and processes that made The Lukens Mill outstanding in the industry of her day.
