Sydney, Australia (PRWEB) June 2, 2007
Fionn Hyndman, current Managing Director of dgmAustralia announced that he will take the role of Head of dgm Asia Pacific, making way for current General Manager, Craig Ellis to assume the role of Managing Director, Australia.
Hyndman unveiled the management change as part of dgm's growth strategy, which will see expansion across the region over the next 24 months and his relocation to Singapore.
"The numbers speak for themselves. Asia Pacific has 414 million internet users of which Australia represents around 13 million. Despite current high user levels, actual consumer penetration in the region is low, at 10.7% compared to 25% elsewhere in the world thus suggesting further high growth rates over the next few years. This region has phenomenal growth prospects and our Australian operation serves as a gateway into that market with many of our international clients demanding a regional solution," Hyndman said.
Serving some of the largest global blue chip clients, such as Dell, E*TRADE, Apple and Yahoo!, with a combination of strategies focused on delivering enhanced ROI through superior technology, combined with the strength of relationships with other business partners will assist dgm's aspirations to create one of the biggest footprints in the Asia Pacific region.
"Our group's commitment to the region is further highlighted by the recent relocation of key elements of our holding company team to form our regional hub in Singapore. Our group CEO and HR director have recently relocated and are building our support infrastructure and our commercial network," Hyndman added.
Craig Ellis commented on the impact on the Australian operation: "Australia remains a huge market for us within the region, with a 50% increase in staff already this year across Australia and New Zealand. Our focus will remain on consolidating our market leading position and further expanding our share of direct marketing and online budgets. I'm excited to take on this role and continue to pursue the growth objectives here in Australia in addition to supporting growth across the region."
The Australian industry has responded positively to the announcement with business partner, Google' Australia and NZ's Head of Sales and Operations, Kate Vale saying, "dgmAustralia have enjoyed enormous success in Australia and New Zealand. We've seen the success that dgm has enjoyed since their inception in Australia just over 4 years ago and we are looking forward to working with them as they expand across Asia". Craig Wax, Yahoo! Search Marketing's Managing Director for Australia, New Zealand, India and South East Asia, added, "This announcement is testimony to dgmAustralia's quality of service, products and client demand. It is a commendable achievement that from their success in Australia, the group is now expanding into the wider region."
In conclusion, CEO of the dgmGroup, Adrian Moss said, "It is the success of the Australian operation and the demands of our clients that assured us that this overseas strategy will meet our shareholders needs as well as fulfilling our client's demands"
