Greenlight Wireless Skweezes Its 150 Millionth Page
Skweezer has optimized 150 million desktop Web pages for mobile users around the world.
Irvine, Calif. (PRWEB) June 4, 2007 -- Greenlight Wireless' Skweezer service, which optimizes desktop Web content and searches for mobile devices, has reached a milestone by serving its 150 millionth Web page.
Skweezer has been mobilizing Web content since 2003, initially on the Skweezer portal at www.skweezer.net and later through search engine and wireless operator customers who use "white label" versions of the technology. Serving this level of traffic has allowed Greenlight Wireless to accumulate a very robust database of search terms, page content, and aggregated viewing behavior that continually helps the company organize and provide relevant desktop content to mobile users. Skweezer currently serves seven to eight million pages monthly, however this number is expected to grow significantly as several large-scale private label implementations currently in development become active in Q307. Skweezer currently has users in over 175 countries and is translated into six languages.
Skweezer is a free service that optimizes Web pages and searches for use on PDAs and cell phones. Skweezer compresses and reformats content being downloaded, so that it loads faster, looks better and is easier to navigate. The service includes an e-mail client, RSS reader, address book, site directory and other useful features designed specifically for the mobile environment. Skweezer is completely platform-independent and can be accessed from Pocket PC, Palm, MS Smartphone, Blackberry, Symbian, PSP2 and WAP 2.0 compliant devices.
The latest incarnation of Skweezer, Skweezer 4.0, is currently in beta testing and is slated for release on June 18th, 2007. Skweezer has been significantly updated to incorporate its latest device recognition and application scaling technologies.
