Literacy Technology Showcased in Atlanta

MaestroReading.com attends the 28th annual NECC Conference.

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) June 15, 2007 -- MaestroReading.com (www.maestroreading.com) will be attending the 28th annual NECC (National Educational Computing Conference) in Atlanta this year. There, they will be among hundreds of technology companies from all over the world showcasing their products to teachers and school technology facilitators. They are looking forward to the same enthusiasm that they have met wherever they have gone: the IRA convention, schools in the English Montreal School Board, and other institutions.

The NECC helps shape the future of education by gathering those involved in bringing technology into the classroom and demonstrating its significance for student achievement and school improvement. This year, they are focused on technology's role in developing 21st-century learners.

MaestroReading.com -- a research-based literacy internet portal, is a comprehensive tool for educators who are looking for entertaining, helpful solutions that will help children in a mixed-ability classroom share in the learning experience. Teachers find MaestroReading.com to be a useful tool that allows each child in the class to participate at their own pace and level at the same time. It is also helpful for ELL and learning disabled students.

In preparation for its official September launch, MaestroReading.com is offering a range of free resources, including an adaptive non-fiction text about Leonardo da Vinci, as well as several interactive, research-based learning games that focus on discrete elements of the reading process. The team is currently beta-testing the software in a number of schools under the umbrella of the English Montreal School Board, while offering its services for free to convention members, parents, educators, and students all over North America.

In September, MaestroReading.com will be available on a subscription basis to educational institutions, and a range of services -- including a diagnostic tool for pre-readers, information on the reading process, and a comprehensive list of other literacy resources -- for free.
