Next New Networks Adds 'A Comicbook Orange' To Its Lineup
Comics Review Show from the Creators of Galacticast to Debut on Pulp Secret
New York (PRWEB) June 6, 2007 -- Next New Networks, the new media company creating branded micro-networks on the Internet, announced today that it will be debuting A Comicbook Orange, an online comic book review show by Casey McKinnon and Rudy Jahchan, on its network Pulp Secret, Wednesdays starting June 6. Jahchan and McKinnon are the founders of the video production company, 8Bit Brownies, where they also create the award-winning sci-fi parody series Galacticast. They are the latest independent video stars to license an original series to Next New Networks, who are strategically building networks that serve targeted communities online; in this case, comic book fans.
"Next New Networks really combines the best parts of traditional media with the innovation and spirit of new media, and that's where we believe the future of entertainment lies," said Casey McKinnon, co-founder of 8Bit Brownies. "We're thrilled to be working with them to create that future through our love of comics."
Beginning Wednesday June 6, the first episode of A Comicbook Orange will be available on the Pulp Secret website at http://www.pulpsecret.com, as well as many other of Pulp Secret's points of distribution, including iTunes, YouTube, Veoh, Joost and the Pulp Secret RSS feed. Fans of Jahchan and McKinnon's work can grab code on the Pulp Secret website to embed the videos on their own sites and social network profiles, and share the episodes with their friends. Viewers will also be able to submit their own reviews and read and watch others from the audience.
"Casey and Rudy are both incredible talents and we were excited to be able to develop this new series with them," said Herb Scannell, CEO and co-founder of Next New Networks. "They represent the kind of talent we want to work with, as they're part of a new generation of talent that is innovative, versatile, and multitalented-- not only are they wonderful writers, hosts, editors and effects wizards, but they also understand how to cultivate audiences online."
