What Women Want… to Make a Mom's Life Easier
ChicBlvd.com conducts a study among 50 mothers of infants to determine their lifestyle, finding that 53% work outside the home, yet nearly 97% wish they had a simpler lifestyle. ChicBlvd.com talks with expert Julie Zarchi, founder of SuperMomz.com--Essentials for Today's Busy SuperMom--who provides insights into how these women can simplify their lives.
Irvine, CA (PRWEB) June 8, 2007 -- In a June 2007 study conducted by ChicBlvd.com online magazine--a girlfriend's guide to dating, marriage, baby and career--it was determined that mothers of infants, regardless of whether they work outside of the home or not, want to find a way to simplify their lives.
The survey results supported the February 2007 study released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics that 53% of married mothers of infants are in the work force. While some may suspect that working mothers have more chaos in their lives, ChicBlvd.com's research revealed that an astounding 97% of these moms, whether pursuing a career or working as a full-time mom, are dissatisfied with their lifestyle and wish they led a simpler life.
Now more than ever, mothers of young children are looking for guidance and direction to make their lives less stressful.
After conducting the study, ChicBlvd.com talked with Julie Zarchi, founder of SuperMomz.com--Essentials for Today's Busy SuperMom--who not only shared how she simplified her life (by negotiating a way to work 2 less hours per day in the office, catching up after her children were in bed) but also provided insights into how other mothers can reduce the stress in their lives.
Pumping at Work: Working Moms face many challenges when it comes to pumping at work. Using a hands-free pumping bra allows moms with a private working environment to multi-task while pumping. This time can be used to read and return emails, listen to voicemail and even return phone calls. Julie sells an Easy Expression Hands Free Pumping Bustier on her website, www.supermomz.com, which makes pumping easier.
Schedule Time for Work and Time for Family:. Moms who work from home may find this the hardest. Resist the urge to just throw in another load of laundry and focus on the task at hand. This way you'll be more productive at both work and play.
Schedule a Time for Running Errands Each Week: This way you'll know that grocery shopping and a trip to the bank and the dry cleaners will all get taken care of on Thursday morning while the children are at school.
Communicate with Your Employer and Your Family: Very often employers will be flexible when you approach them with a well thought out request and plan. Family members will feel comforted knowing your routine and that mom will be home at a certain time to help with homework and bedtime.
Of the 50 women surveyed for this report, several of them commented that certain products would help simplify their lives, such as The Nurse n Glow Pillow by Bela Baby at www.supermomz.com which allows Mom to see what she is doing while nursing, without disturbing her baby or partner while supporting baby's spine.
They also mentioned the Glamourmom Nursing tanks and bra tops at www.supermomz.com that provides one-handed access giving mom the ability to conveniently and discreetly nurse in public.
The research supported the idea that women's lives are not necessarily more chaotic because of their responsibilities, but more so because their lives are in need of more organization and resources to assist in making their lives less stressful.
