The Bari Family ("USA 1776") of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania finished as one of the 50 family finalists worldwide in Phase I of the "Olympic Families Tour Beijing" promotional campaign developed by the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games ("BOCOG") to help celebrate the upcoming one year countdown to the Beijing 2008 Olympics. Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (PRWEB) June 11, 2007 -- The Bari Family ("USA 1776") of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania finished as one of the 50 family finalists worldwide in Phase I of the "Olympic Families Tour Beijing" promotional campaign developed by the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games ("BOCOG") to help celebrate the upcoming one year countdown to the Beijing 2008 Olympics.

In Phase II, which runs through June 30, 2007, the Bari Family continues competing using the "USA 1776" family team name. USA 1776 is one of eleven families from the United States in Phase II this competition where the top five (out of the fifty) families will win a trip this August to Beijing to mark the one year countdown to the Olympics, and another trip to the Closing Ceremonies of the Games of the XXIX Olympiad which will take place in Beijing, China from August 8 - August 24, 2008.

In Phase I of the Olympic Families Tour Beijing promotion, there were more than 12,679 families from 62 countries which registered from around the world (including 316 international entries outside China). USA 1776 quickly gained the support of many voters and finished in a respectable 38th place (the top 50 have now moved onto Phase II).

Phase II of the Olympic Families Tour Beijing campaign runs until June 30, 2007, and the Bari Family ("USA 1776") needs your votes to finish in the Top 5 out of 50 and represent the US in this cool new "Olympic" event. As of June 7, 2007, USA 1776 is ranked 17 out of 50.
