Invensys Validation Technologies, a business unit of Invensys Process Systems, has announced the appointment of Mathew Lomas as Director of Business Development and Operations for the West Coast, leading the unit's expanded San Francisco Bay Area office. The Invensys Validation Technologies (http://www.invensys.com/pharma) unit provides services for risk management and compliance for regulated industries, as well as validation, consulting, and project management services that are vendor and platform independent.

Mr. Lomas, a validation and project management veteran with extensive consulting, account management and operations experience, will oversee regional business development and manage planned staff growth to serve customers. Mr. Lomas' deep experience includes more than 28 years in process and product evaluation, equipment qualification, design, project management, client satisfaction and program development. He joins Invensys Validation Technologies from a major consulting and contracting firm, and has served as director of operations, director of process validation and director of infrastructure and expansion in the consulting segment and in the product and corporate sectors. Mr. Lomas attended the University of Michigan.

This appointment expands the capability of Invensys Validation Technologies to deliver complete validation services to the pharmaceutical and life sciences industries, and build on its experience and knowledge of processes and the regulatory compliance environment through the entire supply chain. Services and methodologies encompass manufacturing equipment and machinery, process control, cleaning control, automation, manufacturing execution systems, and information technology.
