Camenae launches a new upscale line of Italian luxury accessories that combines high-end design and modern functionality. The Fall 2007 debut collection introduces luxury handbags featuring a fresh innovative concept of interchangeable straps and belts created by designer Jill Walker, founded by co-owners Brittany Callard and Jill Walker.

Camenae differentiates itself in design, detail, and function through its signature 3-part 'C-lock', enabling straps to be interchanged with bags and belts. With interchangeable shoulder straps, Camenae offers a fresh combination of intellect and beauty in an ageless product with the ability to reinvent its self. The revolutionary, signature 'C-lock' system has unprecedented versatility: initially in its two-part lock and key system creating an interchangeable bag and strap relationship; and secondly in its third-part slim line component, enabling bag straps to interchange with belt panels.

In Roman mythology, the Camenae were originally goddesses of springs, wells and fountains, or water nymphs of Venus. They were wise, and sometimes gave prophecies of the future. The Camenae represented the spiritual power of womankind as a divine being, as a bridge between the material world and the spiritual worlds.

Camenae's limited Fall 2007 collection is being sold in NY, LA, London and Paris. Sales will commence on its online boutique, launching in September 2007 which will include global distribution: http://www.camenae-group.com.
