AlgaeCal Calcium Supplement Gets High Marks for Calcium Absorption

Las Vegas Nevada (PRWEB) June 12, 2007 -- AlgaeCal, the world's only pure plant source calcium supplement was tested for calcium absorption in a test simulating the human digestive tract by the respected seaweed analyzing institute, C.E.V.A. in France. For a standard of comparison, calcium absorption of AlgaeCal was tested against one of the leading brands of calcium carbonate and different foods that are known to be a good source of calcium.
AlgaeCal demonstrated higher calcium absorption (75%) than the competition's calcium carbonate (69%) and all of the calcium rich foods that were tested. C.E.V.A. reported that "The most interesting food calcium sources were dairy products (especially yogurt with 43% calcium absorbable as the highest value), fruits (like orange 39%, pear 67% and cauliflower 31%) and spirulina 8%.
